and a Short Set Back

We had planned a reunion for August in Breckenridge, Colorado. We had rented a large house and this was to coincide with Emily’s final concert that summer with the Breckenridge Music Festival. Then in June I (Pat) had to send this E-mail:
Hello dear friends and family,
Pat, Peter, and Michael here from Mom’s / Grandma’s hospital room and computer mostly to utilize her address book.
On June 8, 2012 Mom was taken to NW Medical Center and was diagnosed with a stroke. From what we can tell the stroke has affected her speech slightly and her left arm’s motor skills. The occupational therapist is recommending a short stay at a rehab facility after the hospital. We would like to ask for your prayers for Mom’s speedy recovery.
We will try to keep you updated as things progress.

After the hospital stay and 2 ½ weeks at the rehab center Mom (Arvalee) was doing very well and we thought the trip to Breckenridge would be beneficial so we left our plans in place. This turned out to be a great time and renewed our goal to get published. Even though work would be slow for a few months we were able to press on.
