Had a good visit with Mike White of Ghost River Images, he easily answered all our questions about self-publishing. http://www.ghostriverimages.com/ Their web site states: “At Ghost River, we specialize in helping self-publishing authors get their works into print or e-book form.” This service is valuable because the printer needs clean and precise copy to use in the CTP process; that means Computer To Plate.
With Mike’s information we began looking at printing options, cost per page, cost of B&W printing, cost of color printing. Ghost River Images had reliable printers they worked with so we came away with renewed hope and over the next few weeks set about re-formatting everything to the new requirements.
