When looking for a publisher we found many available but few willing.
The first thing they wanted was to see the manuscript, we did not have a manuscript completed.
They wanted a book that would guarantee millions of sales and high income; unlikely.
They would own the book, they would edit the book, they would promote and sell, we would do nothing and have very little say about the outcome. Not realistic, at least from our point of view.
Finally, reading some of their fine print and lawyer’s scripts was downright scary!
